Last week I hired a Virtual Assistant!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how much this has reduced my stress level… and we’ve just gotten started! For those of you who don’t know, a Virtual Assistant is someone who helps you with all of the things that they can, from their own location. Angie has her business, VAXA Marketing in Mankato, and so we met and I explained what I need and that was it! She is going to help me with all of the technical stuff that it takes me forever to do! Things like my SEO, using Pinterest for my business, and even putting these emails onto my website in the BLOG section!

I think that the most important thing that I’ve learned this week is that we all have our own strengths and if you want to do anything, like grow your business, have more time with your family, or just spend time doing what YOU are good at… hire a professional for the rest of it! It will save you money and time in the long run! (I remember reading this concept in The Millionaire Next Door, 20 years ago… funny it took this long for me to really understand it!)

This week I learned a valuable lesson about my own worth. I had a person contact me after seeing the ad in RVW* and they wanted to know all about my coaching business. I am always excited to serve another person and so I spent as much time as I could with this person telling them all about my programs and the way that I coach. It seemed like a perfect fit, until they asked about my rates… bum, bum, bum… And, then they decided that we weren’t a very good fit.

I’m not going to lie, I was so disappointed! I really knew that I could serve this person so well, and I am confident in my abilities, but this really made me question myself! I had to remind myself that the space that I hold for my clients is always filled by the clients who say a resounding, “Heck Yes!” to investing in themselves when they decide to work with me! Those are the clients that have the best results, and the clients that fill me up! So, thank you, if you are or have been, one of my clients! (you really need to read this article, about the Heck Yes! especially if you are busy. It’s the same link as above, but I liked it that much!)

If you aren’t quite sure what 1:1 coaching or group coaching looks like, here is a brief look: First of all, Coaching is not therapy. Coaching takes you from where you are now and launches you with ease into the next best stage of your life with confidence and clarity! Yep, no more waiting for someone else to tell you what to do! In a major life transition? Call me. That’s my specialty!

1:1 coaching is just that. Me and you. We have one, 90 minute call per week with a couple of emails in between. Programs are monthly, but most people do the 3 month program. (I offer a little discount with that one). We can meet in person, but the majority of the sessions are held over the phone, so you can stay in your jammies if you’d like, and I can wear a baseball cap if I’d like! (check out my Instagram to see it!)

Group coaching is not done in person. It is not group therapy, it is a program that is more like self study with a plan that I provide to you, emails that come to you each day with a video, and a private Facebook page for all of the participants. This program is less expensive and the benefit of the support from the other participants is invaluable! *This is the program that Angie is helping me to put together because the technical part of this is A LOT of work and planning! Stay tuned for more details and if you are interested in this type of coaching, shoot me an email and I’ll make sure and add you to the “special list” when we decide to launch!

I’m still on the KETO lifestyle change… because it is so much more than a diet to me… and I made this yummy recipe for a pound cake yesterday! DELICIOUS, even if you aren’t trying to reduce your carbs! You seriously need to try this because you are going to love it, and it was super easy to make! Plus, you can change up the flavor just by adding different extracts, or even your essential oils!

For those of us who live in MN, we all know that the weather is a changin’ and fall will soon be upon us. It is such a short summer, but I have to be honest, I do look forward to jeans and sweater weather! This week while in Mankato, I popped into Scheels and checked out their sales. I found a pair of jeans that I LOVE! Great fit, perfect shading and the most buttery soft feel! They are called, Flying Monkey and you should check them out. AND, if you are looking for a super comfy white shirt to wear with those perfect jeans, check out this one at Target boutique! Yep, a white shirt and jeans… classic and a blank slate for all of your colorful accessories! Mine will be orange! 😉 Remember to “High Low” ladies!

Did you know that being afraid and being excited illicit the very same physical response in your body? Check out this video by our friend, Mel Robbins to find out more and learn how to stop removing yourself from those “exciting” situations before you even give them a try!

I love to read, especially as the weather gets a bit cooler. Again this year I am going to pull September, by Rosamunde Pilcher, down off of my shelf. I first read this book 28 years ago and it is one of the few pieces of fiction that I’ve read more than once. Here are a few of the other fiction writers I love and whose work graces my bookshelves: Adriana Trigiani, Jane Green, Leif Enger, Kate Jacobs, Diana Gabaldon… grab a good book for your Hygge!

*Sidebar: If you have a Southern Minnesota business and haven’t yet advertised in RVW, you should! I have gotten such an incredible rate of return on my advertising! Contact them to find out more!

Make it a glorious day, because it is all up to you!!
